Breast cancer survivors honored at Afternoon of Enlightenment
Healthcare providers at WVU Medicine and the WVU Cancer Institute at the Mary Babb Randolph Cancer Center paid tribute to more than 200 breast cancer survivors during the Afternoon of Enlightenment at Lakeview Resort in Morgantown on October 18.

CTRU offers clinical research services to WVCTSI members
The Clinical Trials Research Unit (CTRU), located on the second floor of the Blanchette Rockefeller Neurosciences Institute (BRNI) on the WVU Health Sciences Center campus, offers clinical research services that includes: study coordination, protocol development support, IRB application support, database management, and budgetary/accounting services. Three subject exam rooms, a reception/waiting area, and meeting room designed to help support clinical research are also available. Two dogs and a cat win CTRU Halloween pet contest

The Clinical Trials Research Unit held its first annual best Halloween pet contest. There were 17 entries for two categories - best costume and best fall splendor. There was a tie for best pet costume: Bobbie Spear and her grand-dog Beans (WVU pride) and Melissa Himes and her dog Kaylee (Captain America). Fall splendor winner was Laila Wallace and her cat Bella.
