Post-transplant patients receive free massages

Members of the post transplant support group at the WVU Cancer Institute Mary Babb Randolph Cancer Center were offered free massages at the Cancer Institute this past Friday.  It was a pre-holiday treat, courtesy of Kim Kreider, massage therapist in the WVU Department of Rehab Services and the Osborn Hematopoietic Malignancy and Transplantation Program.  Rebecca Phillips of Fairmont was delighted to benefit from Kreider’s expertise.  Phillips credited her transplant success to a clinical trial she had at the Cancer Institute.  “It was a lifesaver that paved the way for me to have the transplant,” Phillips said.  “My doctor, Kelly Ross and all the doctors at the Cancer Institute are great; I brag on them all the time.”
