Cancer Institute-related exhibit to be featured at WVU’s Inaugural Demo Day

One of the exhibits that will be showcased during WVU’s Inaugural Student and Faculty Demo Day Expo this Thursday, April 19 on the fifth floor of Evansdale Crossing focuses on future growth at the WVU Cancer Institute.  Last fall, the Cancer Institute partnered with the WVU College of Business and Economics BrickStreet Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship to conduct a consulting-type project that includes a proposal for a researched and designed cancer hospital at WVU.  Led by BrickStreet Center Director Steven Cutright, B & E graduate students also developed a rough timeline for the WVU hospital to achieve NCI designation and have begun work on creating preventative measures for future cancer care throughout West Virginia.  Their project MBA - National Cancer Institute is exhibit number 24.  Awards will be given to the top five favorite exhibitors at Demo Day.  Stop by fifth floor, Panini Pete’s Evansdale Crossing, from 3 to 5 p.m. on Thursday and please cast your vote for #24.
