Registration Open for Great Lakes Breast Cancer Research Symposium

The fifth annual Great Lakes Breast Cancer Research Symposium will highlight ongoing basic, translational, clinical, and population research, addressing the biological mechanisms, diagnostics, and prevention of breast cancer.

The mission of the symposium is to bring together a diverse audience to create a collaborative research environment with a long-term goal of developing cross-institutional collaborations, clinical trials, and treatments for breast cancer. Registration is now open, please join us on September 10-12, 2023 at the Erickson Alumni Center.

Dr. Alan Thomay, surgical oncology, will focus on treating and detecting melanoma with a multi-disciplinary approach.

June 27
WVU Cancer Institute ECHO - 12 p.m.

The June session will focus on Lifestyle Changes After a Cancer Diagnosis with Jessica Ford, MSW.

July 14
Biennial Lung Cancer Conference - 8 a.m. - 4 p.m.

This one-day conference will provide comprehensive, multidisciplinary updates on advances in lung cancer from screening to diagnosis and through survivorship.

Reminder: Deadline to complete WVU Medicine mandatory annual education is June 30

The elearning courses are required to ensure that all employees perform at the highest level, and that they provide safe and effective patient care and services. The courses also satisfy requirements from numerous regulatory agencies. The deadline to complete the mandatory courses is Friday, June 30.
